CHOOSING A VIOLIN
What size violin should I choose?
As a general guide the size of violins vary from 1/32 to 4/4 (Full size). The suitable size choice will be based upon the age and physical size of the player.
It is advisable to try out the instrument before making a firm decision so that the new student can feel properly suited to the instrument and receive specialist advice.

‘If in doubt and to guarantee the best playing experience for the new student it is recommended to try before you buy at a specialist music store.’
FAQs: Are Left Handed Violins Available?
Yes but they are very rare because not only will the order of the strings be affected but also the internals of the instrument itself.
It is usually recommended to learn right handed not least because in an orchestra the bowing action would conflict with other players.
